In the states

Just wanted to give a quick shout out since it has been so long since I have blogged. We have now been in the states for a week. We have been so busy and I haven't had the best internet service therefore I haven't had much time for blogging. We will not be going back to CR until January 1st. We have been having such a great time with our families. Needless to say, we have been eating so much. If we don't hurry and go home we are going to gain so much weight. I have drank so many Starbucks that it's not funny. It's crazy how deprived we have all felt and we just eat anything and everything that we want. Just knowing that we aren't going to be able to have certain things for 8 more months, makes us want it more. We really are out of control!

When we get back home I will update the blog with pics from our trip to the states. For now here are a couple of pics because I hate blogging without a picture.

Hope you all had a great Christmas and I hope you have a blessed year to come.

Here is a picture of me and Molly. I just love and miss that dog so much.

This is the kids on Christmas day. They had so much fun.

My Kids

I think I have the best kids in the world. Well, aside from all the fighting. I am so proud of how well they have adjusted to living in a different county. I couldn't be any prouder. They love going out and exploring, taking bus rides, taxi rides, walking to stores, going to the movies, going to Burger King and having coffee, and the list goes on. And on top of all of that, they love their school. They have made so many new friends. The school curriculum is tuff but they have adjusted well. Last Saturday Shannon had a men's breakfast to go to so, I took the kids to Burger King. While sitting there drinking coffee Ethan said, "I can't wait until someone comes to visit us so they can see that it's not that bad." It made me smile. I can't imagine what was going through their minds before we got here. We talked about it a lot and tried to prepare them but we knew that they would just have to experience it for themselves. I am just so proud of them, that I can't say it enough. It makes living here so much easier knowing that they are happy. They are looking forward to being out of school. Their last day is Friday and they will be out until January 11th. I know that's a long time but you must keep in mind that they will be going to school during the summer. They are also looking forward to coming to the states and seeing family. After seeing our families in December, we will not be back until August 2010. I think we will be home for 1 - 2 weeks and then we will be gone for 2 years. I just hope we can speak Spanish when we leave.
