We are off school next week for "holy week". It's kinda like spring break in the states. We have rented a car and Shannon is going to attempt to drive in CR. Please pray for our safety. We are going to try and visit one of the many volcanoes here. We are so ready for a break from Spanish school.

Panama Visa Trip #2
We made it to Panama and back safely. It was a long bus ride and very hot. On the way there we went through the borders without any problems. We arrived in Panama around 7. We enjoyed two days in Panama and then headed back to CR. This time at the borders, it wasn't so easy. It took us about 2 hours to get through. We had to unload all of our luggage off the bus so they could be gone through. Needless to say, by the time we made it through that everyone was hot and tired.

Flat Stanley is in Costa Rica and early birthday pics
Tomorrow is my birthday and we are headed to Panama. Nothing like celebrating your birthday with a 10 hour bus ride. Please pray for our safety as we travel and that we get through the borders smoothly.

Lorin, Rebecca, and Chelsea made me an early birthday cake. Thanks guys!
The kids got me an orange gerber daisy, which is my favorite.

Flat Stanley is visiting us from Clarksville Arkansas. He will probably spend a couple of weeks with us before we send him home. Flat Stanley was sent to us by Shannon's cousin, Sherry Patton Stahl. Well, from her daughter, Avery. We are suppose to take some pics of Stanley in CR and send them as well as souvenirs back with him. We are going to have a lot of fun with Flat Stanley.

No time for blogging!
I can't believe how long it has been since my lost post. It seems like I have been saying that a lot here lately. We have been so busy with language learning that I have no time for blogging. We stay busy during the week and we rest on the weekend. There is nothing to blog about. However, we are going to Panama next week and then we have the week off after that. We are hoping to get out and do some exploring. So, surely I will have something to blog about, huh? The kids stay busy doing their school work and Megan is still practicing for her play. The big production is next month. More to come next week......

A trip to the grocery store and more bananas
We have been so busy that I haven't had time to blog in a while. Today, I decided that I better take the time and write something. Last night we had to go to the grocery store to get some Raid plug-ins and Raid mosquito spray. We have been getting attacked by mosquito's here lately. The weather has been a little strange. We have had some of the hottest days that we have had since we moved here. Did that make since? Today, it's a little chilly. I am sitting here in a jacket right now. OK, back to the story, here is a picture of our purchases while at the store.
Is this worth $30? Shannon says yes. The Raid cost us about $15.00 and that little jar a PB cost
$5.00. Then we noticed that they had cereal on sale and bought a couple of boxes for the kids. (they were so excited when we got home) We usually don't buy cereal because it's so expensive here. Who wants to pay $8.00 for a box of cereal? Most of the time when we go to the store the kids ask us to buy them cokes, so we bought cokes. The best buy from the trip was the green bag of animal crackers. They cost about $1.25 and they are good. It seems like every time we go to the store we spend about $30.00 or more and we don't get very much. It's kinda depressing. Oh well, it was like that when we went to Wal-Mart in the states too. It's just life.
Look what we found this morning. It's new bananas growing on our banana tree.
