Assignment: Radio Announcement

Ethan had an assignment this week, which was to write an announcement for the radio.  It was really good so I thought I would share it with you.  Just to be clear, it was not actually to put on the radio, it was just for fun.

Here it is:

In Guatemala many children and adults have never heard the name of Jesus.  But, you can help by supporting the missionaries, Shannon, Susan, Ethan, and Megan Pruitt today!  The Pruitt family will be working with all the people of Guatemala, but they cant get there without your help.  So, call 1-800-510-0071 or email them at pruittspages.com.  The Pruitt family will send you a pledge form and a prayer card.  Remember every dollar given is three souls saved!  "Hi, I'm Jesus Christ and I approve this message."

So you will know, Ethan chose what he wanted to do, not us.  We were very proud of him!

Shannon and I are headed to youth convention today.  We will be there tonight and tomorrow morning.  We are looking forward to seeing all of our friends.  We are headed to Mt. Home on Sunday, please keep us in your prayers.

Earle

We were in Earle over the weekend and for those of you who don't know where Earle is, it's by Wynne.  It was a really great church!  The pastor took up an offering for us and then had Ethan and Megan come up front and took up an offering for them.  He gave them each a 'bucket' and had all the church members come up and put money in their buckets.  Pastor said that the money was just for them to spend on whatever they wanted.  The kids were so excited!  I wish you could have seen the look on their faces when they found out what he was doing.  Needless to say, we had to go to Wal-Mart that afternoon.  They each bought a game and saved the rest to buy Christmas presents, aren't they sweet?

Here they are taking up 'their' offering.

Memory Lane

Over the past fifteen years I have gotten together with some of my friends from high school.  I often get the comment "Really, I never see anyone that I graduated with".  It's true, we still get together at least once a year or more.  We go out to eat and just talk.  We have baby showers for each other and do a gift exchange at Christmas.  This past Saturday was our annual Christmas get together, which was very special to me because that was probably my last one for three years.   It makes me sad because I am going to miss them so much.  We are wanting to do a get together with all the girls from our class.  I hope we get to do that before I leave, that would be so much fun.  I would love to see everyone!
I decided to post some pics from over the weekend and some pics from high school.  Yes, I said high school and I cant believe I am posting pics of me from high school.  But, these girls are so special to me and I love them very much.  Enjoy the pictures and don't laugh too hard at the hair.

This is Karey, Angela, and Shonda.  Shonda, do you remember this?

Me and Ang, aren't we cool?

What a great ball team. I am the one with the bangs holding the ball.  Those were the good ole days.

Missions Convention @ Heber Springs

I have had a busy week and haven't had time to get on here much.  Between teaching the kids, I cant believe I actually said that, and doing our newsletter.  I have been super busy.  We have been going to Little Rock also, Shannon's grandpa is in the Heart Hospital.  So, we have had a very busy week.  Oh, one more thing to add to the list, Ethan has been sick and I had to take him to the Dr.  With all that in mind, we have had a great week.  God is good!

I am going to try and post our newsletter on here.  I don't know if I can but, I will try.
Ok, I tried and cant do it.  I will try something different later.

This is Shannon at the missions convention that we went to over the weekend at Heber Springs

This is all the other missionaries that were there.  We loved meeting new missionaries!

Guess who this is?

Isn't this pretty?  We had never been to Heber Springs, and it was beautiful!

Pictures

We are getting ready to send out our second newsletter for the year.  I wanted to get a family picture made for the newsletter, so we went and had our picture taken yesterday.  Melissa Gray McCrotty took the pictures for us.  She did such a good job.  No one would know that we were actually the first family that she has taken pictures of.  The kids had a lot of fun.  Here is the link to Melissa's blog if you want to look at them.  There is also a slideshow at the bottom of the page if you want to see all the pictures.  Thanks Melissa, you did an amazing job.
