Have you ever started on a journey and not really sure how it would go? Or maybe you were not sure where the journey was going to take you. That is where we are at right now. We were completely happy with our lives and everything was going great. Until.....(yeah, you knew that was coming) God asked us to take a step of faith and start on a new journey for our lives. We always knew that we would be missionaries, just not this soon. We always said that we would go when our kids graduated from high school. Well, our kids are 10 and 12 and, they are still in school. So, we took the step of faith and now we are on our way to Guatemala. We will continue to live in the states until we raise our budget. We are hoping to be on the field by August 2009. Next summer we will be moving to Costa Rica for a year to learn Spanish. After living in Costa Rica for a year we will then move to Guatemala City for two years. We are not sure where this journey is going to take us or how we are going to get there but, we know who does. So, let the journey begin....
We will be leaving for missionary school for three weeks in the morning. I will be taking pictures of the kids and will try to find some time to post a little something everyday. We will see how I do with this blogging. Oh and by the way, my grammar and punctuation isn't the best in the world so you will have to overlook it. Please keep us in your prayers!
